Marcella Helen (Kuester) Wisnieski was born to Louis and Helen (Meyer) Kuester on November 24, 1922, on the family farm located in the Haymow Precinct of Stanton Co., NE. She attended rural grade school and graduated from Wisner High School in 1940. She began teaching at a rural school following graduation. Marcie also worked in Chicago, IL for a number of years at the Mars Candy Co. while living with her aunt and uncle there. On June 29, 1944, she married John Joseph Wisnieski at St. Joseph’s parish house in Dodge. They lived on the family farm south of Dodge where she was a homemaker and supported John in his many business ventures, including farming and the auction business. Marcie loved to garden and care for her many flowers. She also loved puzzles of all kinds and crafts, sewing quilts for all of her ten grandchildren. Marcie was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Dodge and its Ladies Aid. Due to the closing of her beloved little church, her membership was transferred to Trinity Lutheran in Howells. She also became a member of the Dodge American Legion Auxiliary and loved volunteer work. Marcie is survived by daughters Janet (Tom) Mlnarik of Bellevue, Kathryn (Jerry) Heard of Howells, NE, daughter-in-law- Theresa (Wisnieski) Uher of Dodge, NE. Ten grandchildren also survive her. They are Stephen (Jennifer) Casey, Robin Casey, Todd (Kim) Casey, all of the Kansas City area, Tim (Krishna) Casey of Boston, John (Kristin) Mlnarik of Santa Clara, CA, Tricia (Joe) Mlnarik Mello of San Jose, CA, Troy (Melinda) Heard of Wichita, KS, Travis (Tonia) Heard of Howells, John R. Wisnieski of Newport Beach, CA, and Jayne Wisnieski of Omaha. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister, Norma Malchow, age 99 of Wisner, Sisters-in-laws, Lenore Grisafi-Ingraham of California and Rita Knust of Arizona, and many nieces and nephews. Marcie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, in 1990, her son, John Mark, in 1996, her daughter, Diane Casey, in 2007, her brother Bob Kuester, and her sister Grace Brodecky. The family suggests memorials be directed to Dodge Fire and Rescue, Howells Balroom, where John and Marcie met, or to donor’s choice." Minnick Funeral Chapel, Dodge, Nebraska.
