He had been in failing health for some time. Since 1914 Mr. Buck had lived in Salina. He was a native of Kansas, born December 8, 1870, in Junction City. His widow, Mrs. Fannie Buck, and his son, Guy Buck, Schenectady, N.Y. constitute the immediate family. There are four brothers, R.M. Buck, also of Salina, Cort of Charleston, W. Va., Phillip of Seattle, Wash., and M.C. of Fort Worth, Tex. Mr. Buck was a member of the Calvary Baptist church. His body was taken to the Salina Funeral Home to remain until Friday. The funeral will be held at the funeral home that morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment will be at Ada. Minneapolis Better Way, July 18, 1940, page 4: M.A. Buck Funeral services for M.A. Buck, formerly of Ada, were held at the Salina Funeral Home, Friday morning, and burial was made in the Ada cemetery. Mr. Buck had been custodian of Washington High school building in Salina for twenty-four years. He died Tuesday night, July 9, at his home, 321 South Third street, Salina. (also, page 7) Pleasant Valley --- M.A. Buck who died at his home in Salina July 9, grew to manhood in this community. Burial was in the Ada cemetery. We extend our sympathy to the family.
