Read More	Johnson County Courier Sterling, Johnson County, Nebraska Thurs., April 23, 1953 Mrs. Eilert Parde Dies At Her Home Will Hold Service Thursday Afternoon In St. John's Church Death came to Mrs. Eilert Parde at 11:45 a.m., Monday, April 20, 1953 at her home near Sterling, Nebr. She had been in failing health a number of years, but the last weeks of her life were filled with much suffering. Through all of her illness she bore her pain with christian fortitude and was prepared to depart from this life at the call of her Lord and Savior. Mareke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Behrend Weber, was born July 8, 1886 at Neufirrel, Germany. When she was ten days of age she became a child of God through baptism. In the year 1892, when she was five years of age, she came to the United States with her parents, who settled in the Sterling community. Having been instructed in the teaching of the Lutheran church she was confirmed in St. John Lutheran church on March 31, 1901 by Pastor Wendt. On October 28, 1907 she was united in marriage with Eilert Parde at Sterling, with Pastor E. Schroeder officiating. To this union eight children were born, six sons and two daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Parde lived in this community all of their married life and were always faithful members of St. John's church. Mrs. Parde lived to the age of 66 years, 9 months and 12 days. Her life interest centered around her family, and she was a most devoted wife and mother, as well as a splendid neighbor and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Besides her husband and children she is survived by 21 grandchildren; three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Maggie Remmers of Sterling, Harry Weber of Wymore, Mrs. Rieke Weber and Mrs. Minna Brinkman of Sterling; also one sister-in-law, Mrs. Grace D. Weber of Sterling. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, April 23, at St. John's church with Pastor Voelk in charge. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
