Died June 29, 1924 Canton, South Dakota Mrs. Wm. Storie, a former resident of Hawarden, passed away last Thursday at her home at Canton, following a lingering illness which dates back to November. However, she had been up around until about three months ago, since which time she was confined to her bed. Marene Wills was the fifth daughter of a family of thirteen chldren and was born in April , 1862, at Hazel Green, Wis., and died June 26, 1924, being some past 62 years old at the time of her death. When a young girl she united with the Methodist Church at Hazel Green, Wis. She was united in marriage with Albert Clemens in 1878 and one son, Albert, was born to them. Her husband passed away in 1881 and following his death she came to Hawarden and lived with her sister, Mrs. W. T. McPherson, so well known by many of the older residents of this city. In 1896 she married William Storie at Cuba City, Wis., and for a number of years they made their home in this city. From here they moved to Canton. Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Albert Clemens of Sheldon, seven sisters, Mrs. Mary Eddy, Mrs. Katherine Eddy, Mrs. Elizabeth Clemens and Mrs. Susan Willey all of Cuba City Wis., Mrs. Jesepha McPherson of Hawarden, Mrs. Emma Nelson of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Mrs. Hannah Wilson of Butte, Nebraska, and three brothers, William Wills of Butte, Ne., and John and Grant Wills of Platteville, Wis. Funeral services were held at the home at Canton at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon and she was laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery at Canton.
