S. Army. Brooklyn Chronicle (Brooklyn, Iowa) 29 June 1922 Miss Margaret Althea Burford was born at Dysart, Iowa, March 23, 1901. Her death occurred in San Antonio, Texas, June 20th, 1922, thus making her a little more than 21 years of age. The family moved to Brooklyn when Margaret was a mere child. She attended the public school and high school here in Brooklyn, but on account of health conditions was not permitted to finish her work in the high school. She became a member of the Methodist church when she was a child of 10 years of age. She has grown from childhood to womanhood in this community. For the two last years she has made her home in San Antonio, Texas. The family and her many friends were shocked at the news of her death, which reached here the first of the week. She leaves to mourn her loss the husband, Louis M. Gould, an infant son, the father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Burford, one sister Buryl, and other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by her pastor, Rev. John W. Pool, and was attended by a large number of friends. The body was laid to rest in the Brooklyn cemetery.
