Read More	Margaret Anita (Goesch) Bates, died Friday, November 15, 2013, at the Sutton Community Home, Sutton, Nebraska. Margaret, daughter of Frank Wilhelm and Theresia E. (Heinz) Goesch, was born May 19, 1918, in Momence Township, Fillmore County, Nebraska. Margaret was baptized and confirmed in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sutton, Nebraska. On June 1, 1938, she was married to Donald C. Bates. For the most of her life Margaret was a homemaker. She lived in California for 35 years where she operated a Licensed Child Care home and over the years cared for nearly 200 children. In 1972, Margaret and Donald returned to Sutton, Nebraska. Margaret worked several years in the kitchen at the Sutton (NE.) School. Donald passed away on July 9, 1986. They were married for 49 plue years. She moved to the Nolde Center in 1987, where she was active in all their gatherings. Margaret was an important member at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sutton, Nebraska, where she was active in Bible Studies, rarely missed Sunday Services, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and helped with the kitchen duties for special occasions as well as funeral services. After many years at the Nolde Center, Margaret moved to Hillcrest View Assisted Living facility and later into the Sutton Community Home. Margaret is survived by: brother, Billy Goesch and wife Alease of Quartz Hill, California; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends. Margaret was preceded in death by: parents, Frank and Theresia Goesch; husband, Donald; brother, Gaylord Goesch; sister-in-law, Florence Goesch and infant sisters, Dorothy and Edith Goesch. Interment was in the Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, Nebraska.
