Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Beach has been entrusted with the arrangements. Margaret was born May 2, 1931 on a farm near Sentinel Butte, North Dakota. The daughter of Jess and Lizzie (Abraham) Houck, She received her early education at the Carlson and Bonnieview Schools. She then graduated from Beach High School with the class of 1950. She was married to Carl Allen on October 8, 1951 in Beach. Following their marriage they lived in Beach where Margaret worked at the Firestone Store for seven years. She then worked at home raising her family. Margaret was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. John's Alter Society, and the Beach Lions Club. Margaret loved dancing, cooking, crafts, and playing cards and Aggravation with her family and friends. She also enjoyed helping other people, playing practical jokes, and rides in the Suburban with family and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, parents and one brother Roy Houck. Survivors include her son Gene Allen of Minot, North Dakota; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Helen Allen of Watford City, North Dakota; sister-in-laws Priscilla Allen of Billings, Montana, Nellie Allen of Miles City, Montana, Ruth Houck of Beach, North Dakota; brother-in-law Melvin Allen of Selah, Washington; grand daughter Ashley Allen of Minot; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of treasured friends.
