Description	:	SALISBURY \| Margaret Ann Koontz Kreps, 78, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at The Laurels of Salisbury. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Trading Ford Baptist Church, where she will lie in state for 30 minutes before the service. The Rev. Mike Motley and the Rev. Keith Mason will officiate. Read More	SALISBURY \| Margaret Ann Koontz Kreps, 78, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at The Laurels of Salisbury. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Kreps was born June 16, 1931, in Rowan County to Agnes Hulin Koontz and John Henry Koontz. Mrs. Kreps was educated in the Rowan County schools and at Salisbury Business College. She was previously employed by North Carolina Finishing Co., where she worked in the office. She was later employed by Sudderth Law Firm and Henry Link Furniture. Mrs. Kreps was very active in church work and served as secretary and Sunday school teacher during her husband's pastorates with the United Church of Christ. She enjoyed working with the youths and various Sunday school activities. More recently, she was a member of Trading Ford Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, the Rev. Carl Clayton Kreps, who died Dec. 10, 2005. They were married June 23, 1956. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and an infant daughter, Kathy Ann Kreps. Survivors include her sons, Glenn C. Kreps and his wife, Sharon, and Alan W. Kreps, all of Salisbury, and two grandchildren, Ashley Sarah Kreps and Johnathon Christian Kreps. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lyerly Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Trading Ford Baptist Church, Building Fund, 3600 Long Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
