Description	:	Mrs. Maggie Jacobsen, daughter of Anders and Ane Marie Nelsen, was born in Kearney County, Nebraska, September 26, 1885 and passed away at the Minden hospital on April 9 at the age of 70 years and six months and 13 days, after a long illness. She was united in marriage to Chris Jacobsen on March 14, 1907. He preceded her in death in July 1953. After her husband's death she came to Bethany Home where she was cared for with the exception of short periods of time when she was in the hospital where she received special... Read More	Mrs. Maggie Jacobsen, daughter of Anders and Ane Marie Nelsen, was born in Kearney County, Nebraska, September 26, 1885 and passed away at the Minden hospital on April 9 at the age of 70 years and six months and 13 days, after a long illness. She was united in marriage to Chris Jacobsen on March 14, 1907. He preceded her in death in July 1953. After her husband's death she came to Bethany Home where she was cared for with the exception of short periods of time when she was in the hospital where she received special treatment. She was a most patient sufferer and was always cheerful. She longed for fellowship with God and was baptized last November and from then on she regularly partook of Holy Communion. She is survived by six children, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and four sisters. The children are: Mrs. Alice Tarrence, Kearney, Mrs. Fern Beishiem, Axtell, Mrs. Myrtha Talbert, Heartwell, Clifford Jacobsen, Minden, Mrs. Geneva Warp, Minden, Mrs. Dorothy McLellan, Anchorage, Alaska. Her sisters are Mrs. Elsie Hansen, Minden, Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson, Renton, Wash., Mrs. Tena Petersen, Holstein, and Mrs. Clara Tomsen, Minden. Besides her husband, one daughter, Anita, and five brothers and one sister preceeded her in death. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Layton Funeral Home with Rev. A. Hofgaard in charge. Interment was made in the Minden cemetery. (Source: Minden Courier 4-19-1956)
