Funeral Mass will be held Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Westernport. Interment will be in the church cemetery. N., Veterans Hospital, Dayton, Ohio, and one brother, James Bernard Bissett, Piedmont. “The Herald” (Piedmont, W.Va.), Thursday 26 June 1941: Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Bissett Eckman, 33, wife of Frank Eckman of Frostburg, who died last Wednesday morning at Allegany Hospital, Cumberland, were held Saturday morning at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Westernport. Rev. Victor Dowgiallo, assistant pastor, officiated at the Requiem High Mass. The Rev. Patrick J. Bradley, St. Michael’s, Frostburg, the Rev. Robert E. Kilgannon, St. Anthony’s, Ridgeley; Monsignor A. Scarpati and the Rev. Stephen Chylinski, pastor and assistant pastor of the local church, were in the sanctuary. Alumni of Allegany Hospital nurses training school formed a guard of honor in front of the church. Interment was in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Chapman Jr., and Michael O’Neil Jr., of Cumberland, Eugene Corrigan, of Washington, D.C., Charles Bell, Thomas Whelan Jr., Charles Laughlin, Jr., George Nies and James T. Small. Flowerbearers were Patrick Healy, James Bissett, John Bissett, Joseph Faherty, Frank Haran, Woodrow Wilson, Reginald Herbert and Michael Hoban.
