Services were held Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden with the Rev. Don Hunzeker officiating. She was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Minden to Walter and Emma (Borgaard) Mathiasen. On June 6, 1937, she married Dale Morris. He died April 29, 1962. On Aug. 29, 1964, she married Brown Quick. He died in 2000. Don Hunzeker officiating. She was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Minden to Walter and Emma (Borgaard) Mathiasen. On June 6, 1937, she married Dale Morris. He died April 29, 1962. On Aug. 29, 1964, she married Brown Quick. He died in 2000. Survivors include stepsons, Ted and John, both of Omaha, and Mark of Honolulu; stepdaughter, Bonnie Brown of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include stepdaughters-in-law, Teri Quick and Geri Quick, both of Omaha, and Norma Jean Quick of Honolulu; and special friend, Tammy Linner of Upland. She was baptized and confirmed at Fredericksburg Lutheran Church south of Minden. She graduated from Minden High School. She and her first husband owned and operated Dale's Plumbing. Her husband and their three children, Allan, Diane and James, were killed in a plane crash. She and her second husband lived in Omaha and Alda and moved back to Minden in 1972. She was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden. She had taught Sunday school and also sang in the church choir. In addition to her husbands and children, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.∼See husband Dale Morris for the newspaper article about his tragic death and their three children on April 29, 1962. A few years after losing her family she married Mr. Quick who was her second husband.
