B. Rabb died here today at the home of her son, Sheriff E. K. Rabb, after a year of declining health. Mrs. Rabb, the former Miss Margaret McMeekin, was born near Monticello November 6, 1863, the daughter of the late Capt. Hayne McMeekin and Sarah Gibson McMeekin, a prominent and pioneer family of Fairfield. In December 1888, she married Calvin B. Rabb of Monticello, where she lived until a year ago when she came to Winnsboro to make her home with her son. Mrs. Rabb spent her long life in devoted service to her family, her church and her friends and was a most beloved woman of her community. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Monticello Methodist church and was faithful and active in its work until recently. Mrs. Rabb, who was predeceased by her husband in 1927, is survived by the following children: Hayne Rabb of Orangeburg, Mrs. Earl Reynolds of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Ben Epting of Rion, Mrs. Clarence Boling of Jacksonville, Fla., Gus Rabb of Detroit, Mich., Thomas Rabb of Darlington, Donald E. Rabb of Monticello and Ernest K. Rabb of Winnsboro; also 23 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Buford Jackson of Columbia and Mrs. William H. Gist of Union, and a great number of nieces and nephews.
