Minger, was born August 17, 1971, at Wadena, Fayette County, Iowa and died at her home one-half mile north of Wadena, Iowa May 9, 1900 aged 28 years, 8 months, and 22 days. She leaves a husband, 3 children, father, mother, four brothers, five sisters, and a host of friends to mourn her departure. Her early life was marked with cheerfulness and among the young people she had a host of friends. In the Sabbath Schools and church she did what she could with a willing heart and hand. She was a teacher in our Township school for 2 years, then she was married by this writer to John Minger. In her early life she often expressed the desire to be a useful Christian and from all outward appearances she was. In visiting her o her sick bed she spoke of dying with perfect complacency, expressing to those who cared for her, assurance of Heaven. The funeral was held at the house. Rev. Jennington of Elgin,Iowa officiating. He spoke to a large concourse of people. The music was furnished by the Scotch Choir. There were 60 teams in the procession. She was buried in the Wadena cemetery. (Mrs Minger died afer childbirth) Great-great-grandmother of crime victim, Jacob Bruce "Jake" Beneke.
