Description	:	Margaret was the daughter of Ira S. & Amanda Holloway Spurlin. A native of North Carolina, she was raised in Madison County, Kentucky. After her mother's death, her father moved to Stoddard County, Missouri. Two of her brothers, William and Robert Spurlin, relocated to Harrison County, Iowa, and Maggie joined them. She married Everett Erastus McClannahan, a widower, on February 17, 1912. McClannahan, 65, who died at a Council Bluffs hospital after a major operation. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Hennessey and Van Cleave funeral home of Missouri Valley is in charge. The McClannahans had lived in Mondamin since their marriage in 1912. Surviving are the husband, a son Q.S. McClannahan of Mondamin; four step-daughters, Mrs. Claude Gatrost of Missouri Valley, Mrs. George Costello of Cor D'Alene, Idaho, Fern McClannahan of Waterloo and Mrs. Carston Ingvoldstad of Ingleside, Illinois; two step-sons, John McClannahan of Mondamin and Kenneth of Fort MacPherson, Ga.; Four brothers, Rufus of Richmond, Ky; Emery and Henry Spurlin of Arkansas and Robert of St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Foster Lamphere of Milwaukee, Wis. and Mrs. Mittie Pigg of Richmond, Ky.; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
