She died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at Creighton Area Health Service. --- Margaret Elaine (Walton) Risinger, daughter of Cecil and Jennie (Bruce) Walton, was born May 17, 1923, at Verdigre. She graduated from Creighton High School in 1941. She then taught at the Grimton School in western Knox County. On Nov. 8, 1945, she married Leonard R. Risinger. To this union four sons were born, Thomas, Alvin, James and Max. They farmed west of Creighton for many years before retiring in Plainview. Leonard died Feb. 5, 1991. She always had a big garden on the farm and in Plainview, canning or freezing most of her own vegetables. She did a lot of crotchet work and made many quilts. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Tom and Deb of Omaha, Al and Ruth of Plainview, Jim and Lori of Seneca, Kan., and Max and Laura of Plainview; grandchildren Tony and wife Anna, Terri, Ryan, Reed, Jennifer, Tina, Jill, Nancy, Neil, Leonard, Jackson and Linda; great-grandchildren Kylee and Caleb; brothers David (Betty) Walton of Franklin, Archie of Verdigre, Larry of Orchard; sister Mary (Lefty) Robinson of Blair; sisters-in-law Dorothy, Roma and Maria; and a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Bruce, Robert, William and Percy and sister Alice Kotrous. The Rev. Art Anderson will conduct the services. The hymn, "In The Garden," will be performed by Duane Christiansen with Judy Beaudette the organist. Congregational hymn will be "How Great Thou Art." The pallbearers will be the grandsons with honorary bearers being the granddaughters.
