Read More	MRS. M. E. BARNES DIED AT KINGSTON LAST THURSDAY - Was Sixty Age And Born In Allen, Wicomico County, Maryland - Mrs. Margaret Ester Barnes of Kingston, wife of Mr. Charles P. Barnes, died at her home at Kingston last Thursday at 6:00 P.M., following a paralytic stroke which she suffered the day before her death. She had been sick for some weeks. She was 64 years old and was born at Allen, Wicomico County, The daughter of the late William Turner and Jennie Malone of Wicomico County. In the death of Mrs. Barnes her family and the community has suffered a great loss. The church lost an indefatigable worker; the community a shining; the husband a faithful helpmate, and her children, a kind and loving mother. She possessed a lovely disposition and was loved by all who knew her. Besides her husband she is survived by five children; three sons, Charles H. Barnes, of Wilmington, Del., Mr. Leonard Barnes of Pocomoke City, Mr. Paul of Kingston; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Reynolds , of Wilmington, and Miss Edna Barnes, of Kingston. One sister, Mrs. Paul Gibson of Wilmington, two brothers, Mr. Leonard Turner of Baltimore and Mr. William Turner of Wilmington, also survive. Funeral services held from the Rehobeth Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by Rev. Herman Bischof, assisted by Rev. Lloyd S. Hindman. Interment was in the family plot in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers were, Mr. Will Dryden, Mr. George Beauchamp, Mr. Robert Cluff, Mr. Ernest Howard, Mr. Maurice White. *Worcester Democrat & The Ledger-Enterprise, Pocomoke City, Maryland- June 24 1938 page 14
