Description	:	Margaret was the oldest of 14 children of Philander Chase Ayers and Nancy (Eagon) Ayers. She was born in Batesville, Beaver Township, Guernsey County, Ohio (a year later this town was made part of Noble County). In 1863 she moved with her family to Kirkwood Township, Belmont, Ohio to a farm of about 275 acres her father purchased there. This farm was in the vicinity of both Morristown and Hendrysburg, near the Union Township line, off County Road 100 north of the National Road in what is now Egypt Wilderness Area and surrounding rock quarrying operations. ... Margaret married John A. Morris on October 29, 1869 at the age of 19 in Belmont County. He was a Civil War veteran (Union soldier). She spent the rest of her life as a farmer's wife on their property in Flushing, Belmont, Ohio. There approximately 141 acre farm was in an area called Rock Hill just southwest of Flushing, just south of the old railroad tracks. They had one son, Meredith Morris. She died in Flushing in 1932 at 82 years of age, and was buried in Rock Hill Cemetery (now sometimes called "Rock Hill Baptist Cemetery).
