Description	:	Margaret I. (Watson) Weaver passed away April 14, 2017 in Tacoma. Margaret was born on Feb. 7th, 1924. She was the fourth of twelve children to parents John and Mabel (Reigel) Watson. Margaret attended Dysart School District #5 from the first grade up to the 8th when, during the depression years, the family moved from the more rural areas of the Kittitas Valley, closer to Ellensburg. They were together for the next... Read More	Margaret I. (Watson) Weaver passed away April 14, 2017 in Tacoma. Margaret was born on Feb. 7th, 1924. She was the fourth of twelve children to parents John and Mabel (Reigel) Watson. Margaret attended Dysart School District #5 from the first grade up to the 8th when, during the depression years, the family moved from the more rural areas of the Kittitas Valley, closer to Ellensburg. Margaret graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1942. On November 1st of that same year, Margaret married Willard Weaver, "The best of husbands" as she would proudly and lovingly remember him. They were together for the next 54 years, until Willard's passing in May of 1996. Margaret worked in several different places while Willard served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Army during WWII, from the potato fields of the Kittitas Valley, to many years working for, and eventually retiring from, Wood's Hardware. Margaret was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Ellensburg and was active in bible studies and scholarship luncheons. She enjoyed dancing, playing the piano, her gardens of flowers, fruits and vegetables and to say that she liked a good game of cards would be an absolute understatement. She was darn right competitive. She always looked forward to family get-togethers. With husband Willard's sweet tooth, there was generally always something wonderful in the works in Margaret's kitchen, from desserts, to canned jellies and jams. She kept her freezer packed with prepared pies and cookies ready for the oven on a moment's notice. If you ever left mom's house hungry, you had no one to blame but yourself. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, John Jr., Mary Gustafson of Prosser, Myrna Weaver of Yakima, Donald Watson of Yakima and Mabel Malinosky of Bellingham, Martha Jacobson of Seattle and Mildred Anderson of Seattle. Also preceding were sister-in-law Anne Meyer, brothers-in-law Raymond (Elwood) Weaver, Donald (Gus) Gustafson, Robert (Buck) Weaver and Gilbert Jacobson, son-in-law Dennis Schutte and great grandchild Zachary Coonradt. She is survived by her three children, Sandra (Paul) Coonradt of Tacoma, Linda Weaver-Schutte of Tacoma and Erik (Carol) Newman-Weaver of Richmond, California, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. Her surviving siblings include Joe (Louise) Watson of Ellensburg, Marlene (Tom) Overton of Renton, Maxine Wyatt of Buckley and Miriam Watson of Yakima. Per her wishes, there will be crematory internment at the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Ellensburg. Date and time to follow. Daily Republic, Ellensburg, WA April 18, 2017
