He later returned to Ellensburg to work as a body... Read More	OBIT: Willard M. Weaver passed away at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital, Thursday, May 16, 1996 at the age of 75. He was born on November 20, 1920 in Pasco, Washington to Raymond and Rachelle (Page) Weaver. At a young age, Willard moved to Thorp and later to Ellensburg where he spent his growing up years with his Grandma Smith and Aunt Mae. As a young man, Willard worked at Mead's Automotive in Ellensburg and later relocated to Porterville, California working again in an automotive business. He later returned to Ellensburg to work as a body and fender man at Rathbun Implement. On November 1, 1942, Willard and Margaret Watson were married in Ellensburg. Between 1943 and 1945, he served in the South Pacific during World War II and was decorated with the Purple Heart and the Oak Leaf Cluster. Following his military service, he returned to Ellensburg to work for Rathbun Implement as Parts Department Manager until the business closed. Willard then worked for Major and Thomas Automotive as Shop Foreman and later as a Parts Manager. He then went to work as a Parts Department Manager for Faltus Motor Company until his semi-retirement in 1984. Willard continued showing up for work periodically in the years that followed in order to keep busy, stay in touch with friends, and keep the guys in line. He had no enemies and he enjoyed everyone's company and you were always welcome in his world; there was always time for you. His greatest loves were his wife, his family, and his home. He is survived by the absolute love of his life, Margaret. Additional survivors include: daughters, Sandra and husband Paul Coonradt of Tacoma, Linda and husband Dennis Schutte also of Tacoma; son, Eric and wife Carol Weaver of Ellensburg; grandchildren, Trina, Chad, Sean, Michelle and Ian; great grandchildren, Michael, Erin, Addison, Zachary, Craig, Corey and Dylan; a sister, Ann Meyer of Ellensburg; a brother, Robert "Buck" and wife Myrna Weaver of Yakima. Willard was preceded in death by his father in 1938, his mother in 1983, and his brother Elwood in 1961. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, May 20, at Steward & Williams Chapel. Visitation hours will be on Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Steward & Williams Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to either Kittitas County Hospice or to the Yakima Union Gospel Mission. Ellensburg Daily Record, May 18, 1996
