Marshall (MI) Evening Chronicle Saturday, August 7, 1971 Mrs. Humphrey died Friday ---Mrs. Margaret J. Humphrey, 87, 110 Byron st., Homer, widow of Herbert A. Humphrey, died at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Albion Community Hospital after a brief illness. ---Born Oct. 12, 1883 in Genesee County, N.Y. to William B. and Mary Jane (Linten) Curry, she and her husband were married Oct. 14, 1903 in Litchfield. He preceded her in death June 28, 1969. ---She moved to the Homer-Litchfield area at the age of three with her parents and graduated from Homer high school in 1902. She taught in the Putnam school district for one year. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, the Bouton club, and the N. Clarendon Women's Aid. ---Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. William (Bessie) Smith, Homer; Mrs. Emmett (Olive) Thomas, Coldwater; Mrs. Howard (Elsie) Smith, Homer; two sons, Rex Humphrey, Albion, Carl H. of Pleasant Lake, Mich.; 21 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Emerson, Detroit, and Mrs. Sarah Warsom, Albion. One brother, William J. Curry, preceded her in death. Funeral Service HUMPHREY, MRS. H.A. Homer Funeral services for Mrs. Herbert A. Humphrey, who died Friday afternoon in the Albion hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Tidd's funeral home in Homer. Rev. Clifton A.
