Call was born in Jewel County, Kansas on December 30, 1881 and passed away at the Webster County Community hospital at Red Cloud on January 24, 1966. Mrs. Jahn came to the Blue Hill community as a girl and on January 3, 19__, was united in marriage at Red Cloud to Henry F. Jahn. There were six children born to this union. Jahn, daughter of Mary Jane and George W. Call was born in Jewel County, Kansas on December 30, 1881 and passed away at the Webster County Community hospital at Red Cloud on January 24, 1966. Mrs. Jahn came to the Blue Hill community as a girl and on January 3, 19__, was united in marriage at Red Cloud to Henry F. Jahn. There were six children born to this union. Mrs. Jahn went as a bride to a farm northwest of Blue Hill and for sixty three years she and her husband enjoyed life together and raised their family in the Blue Hill and Bladen communities. Her husband preceded her in death on May 18, 1964. For the past two years, Mrs. Jahn had made her home at the Crocker Nursing home in Blue Hill. She was a member of the Bladen Methodist Church and of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service. One of her greatest desires was that her family grow in Christian faith. She was a kind and loving mother, one whose whole life was devoted to her family. Although in poor health for many years her burden was never so great but what she was happiest when doing for others. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by one son, Lloyd Henry, and one daughter, Mrs. Ella Lewis. She leaves to mourn her passing one son, Chris of Blue Hill; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd McMahon and Mrs. Lyle Kile, both of Bladen and Mrs. W. Leon Cox of Manassas, Virginia; sixteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Call of Bladen; and a sister, Mrs. Emma Baker of Tujunga, California. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Bladen Methodist Church with Rev. Gertrude McCallum and Rev. Marvin Coffey officiating. Mrs. Wendell Lockhart was organist for Miss Wylma Fletcher who sang “Sunrise Tomorrow” and “Over the Sunset Mountains”. Pallbearers were Arthur Lewis, Clark McMahon, Dan Schnuerle, Marion Duval, Grey Pickerill and Carl Hubert. Interment was in the family lot in the Blue Hill Cemetery.
