Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Memorials may be directed to either Cedar Manor, Tipton Ambulance or the First United Church of Christ in her memory. Margaret Jean Ramer was born June 13, 1926, in Marshall County, the daughter of Elmer Adolf and Ella Etta (Vogt) Ramer. She graduated with a teaching degree from Iowa State Teachers College, now known as the University of Northern Iowa. She first taught in a one room school, then taught 3rd and 4th grades in Green Mountain and then at Tipton. She married William Edward Diedrichsen on August 1, 1948, in Marshalltown. William preceded her in death on February 2, 2014. She was a teacher, a volunteer, a wife and mother. She and William were members of the First United Church of Christ in Tipton since 1951. She was always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. She is survived by one daughter, Ann Diedrichsen of Tipton; two sons, Michael (Carol) Diedrichsen of Chatham, IL, and Steven (Ellen) Diedrichsen of Des Moines; and one brother, Robert (Patricia) Ramer of Leesburg, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. Fry Funeral Home
