Hubanks was born June 5, 1847. She was married to John T. Willey June 2, 1870. To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive her, except twins who died in infancy. Willey died at her home at Sutton Saturday, December 11, 1915, aged 68 years, 6 months, and 6 days. Margaret J. Hubanks was born June 5, 1847. She was married to John T. Willey June 2, 1870. To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive her, except twins who died in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Willey were pioneers in Nebraska, homesteading in Fillmore county in the spring of 1872. Mr. Willey died eleven years ago. In her younger years, Mrs. Willey united with the Christian church, but on moving to Sutton, she united with the Congregational church. She was an invalid for the past five years and was unable to attend the services of the church, but gave her interest and her prayers. The funeral service was held at Sutton Monday, and was conducted by Rev. Mr. Kelly. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The funeral party coming from Sutton by auto, was met here by a large number of friends, members of Wilson post, G.A.R. acting as pall bearers. Mrs. Willey's husband was a member of the Geneva post. The following children survive Mrs. Willey: G.A. Willey; R.C. Willey and Mrs. John O'Brien; T.J. Willey, and Mrs. L.C. Griess. Eight grandchildren also survive her.
