Description	:	Margaret Kermeen was born in Maughold, Garff, Isle of Man, August 22, 1842, and died July 16, 1927, in Omaha, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dennis. Had she lived till August 22 she would have been eighty-five years of age. Her husband passed away July 16, 1913, just fourteen years ago. She and her mother came to Illinois when she was thirteen years old, when it took six weeks to cross the Atlantic, to the home of her brother near Peoria, Ill. Read More	Margaret Kermeen was born in Maughold, Garff, Isle of Man, August 22, 1842, and died July 16, 1927, in Omaha, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dennis. Had she lived till August 22 she would have been eighty-five years of age. Her husband passed away July 16, 1913, just fourteen years ago. She and her mother came to Illinois when she was thirteen years old, when it took six weeks to cross the Atlantic, to the home of her brother near Peoria, Ill. She was married to William Kinrade January 30, 1860. They came to Nebraska in 1878 and lived on a farm near Burress. About twenty-six years ago they came to Geneva. Since her husband’s death, she has made her home with her children. She was the last of her family of eight children, her only remaining brother passing away two weeks ago. Five children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Kinrade, four of whom survive. They are Mrs. Eleanor McDonald and Mrs. Ida Tice of Geneva, Mrs. Anna Dennis and William Kinrade of Omaha. A son, Henry, passed away twenty-four years ago. The surviving children and a number of grandchildren and many friends mourn her passing. Because of failing health, she seldom left her home and was devoted to her family. Her body was brought to Geneva Sunday night to the home of Eleanor McDonald. The funeral was held there at 2 p.m. Monday by Rev. David Tudor. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. Her children were all present, also a number of out-of-town friends: Mrs. James McCarty and daughter Ruby and Mrs. Porter Martin of York; Mrs. Rachel Johnson of Lincoln, Mrs. Dora Stone and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Burt of Omaha and Mrs. Alta May of Council Bluffs.
