Description	:	Margaret was the daughter of Charles Sweet and Sarah Elizabeth Bates. About 1903-04 she married Joseph Morris, son of Alex Morris and Louise Cavanaugh. He was the widower of Berthenia B. Bacon. The 1910 census said they married about 1905. He may have had another marriage; Berthenia died on Mar 24, 1887 Canada and in 1900 Columbia, NH he was listed as married, then in 1900 Bethlehem he was listed as widowed. His son Thomas Steward Morris is listed as born Dec 22, 1888 on everything, including naturalization papers, draft cards, social security records,... Read More	Margaret was the daughter of Charles Sweet and Sarah Elizabeth Bates. About 1903-04 she married Joseph Morris, son of Alex Morris and Louise Cavanaugh. He was the widower of Berthenia B. Bacon. The 1910 census said they married about 1905. He may have had another marriage; Berthenia died on Mar 24, 1887 Canada and in 1900 Columbia, NH he was listed as married, then in 1900 Bethlehem he was listed as widowed. His son Thomas Steward Morris is listed as born Dec 22, 1888 on everything, including naturalization papers, draft cards, social security records, etc. Berthenia couldn't have been his mother. Their children were Sarah Maude and Fred Charles. Son, Fred, died at 2 months old in Aug 1908. They were together in Bethlehem in the 1910 census. Her husband, Joseph, died on Mar 23, 1912 in Bethlehem, NH. His death certificate listed him as married. On Oct 19, 1912 in Stratford, NH she had a daughter, Ida Mae Powell. Her father has always been listed as Frank Powell. I have not found a marriage record for them. On Dec 30, 1916 in Stratford, NH she married William Young, son of Iretus Young and Nancy Finette Blodgett, and the widower of her sister Clara Ann Sweet, who had died in Nov 1911. The marriage record mistakenly listed her as widow "Mrs. Clara Morris", which although the first name was wrong, it did verify that her husband, Joseph Morris, had died. (Her sister Clara married William Young in 1907 and that marriage record listed her as widow, Carrie Morrison, although we never found that she had actually married Peter Morris/Morrison, brother of Margaret's husband, Joseph Morris). Their three children were Leslie, an infant son who only lived 4 hours, and Mary. Age: 82yrs
