Reverend Olin Belt officiated with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Pallbearers were Chester Anderson, Joseph Ehrenberg, Orville Hansen, Leonard Klosner, Jerry Langhorst and Leland George. Margaret L. McCarter, the daughter of John and Ann Ehrenberg Wulff, was born October 14, 1901 at Creighton. She died Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton at the age of 84 years and 23 days. She was the second oldest of eight children. Being the only girl in the family, she had seven brothers. With the exception of five years in Kansas, she grew up in the Creighton vicinity. She attended Millerboro and rural Creighton Schools. On May 31, 1925 she married John Arnold McCarter at Yankton, S.D. Margaret had worked at Jacob's Bakery and Cafe and Clagget's Variety Store. She later owned and operated the Treat Shop Drive-In at Creighton for nine years. She was active in Rebekahs, Order of the Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors of America, City Cousins Extension Club, Creighton Women's Club, United Methodist Church and its women's society. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James and Janice McCarter of Omaha, daughter, Joyce McCarter of Creighton, two granddaughters; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Wulff of Dallas, Tex. and Fred Wulff of Lincoln; sisters-in-law, Ruth Wulff of Lynwood, Calif.; and Frances and Anna Wulff, both of Wausa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1971 and five brothers, Bill, Harry, John, Alvin and Edward.
