Her funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rudyard, with burial in Rudyard Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rockman Funeral Chapel of Chester. Memorials are suggested to the church or Rudyard Senior Citizens Center. She was born at Pilot Knob, Mo., on Oct. 16, 1909. Her family came to the Hogeland community when she was young and she attended country schools near there. On Nov. 26, 1927, she married Selmer Sanvik at Harlem. Her husband operated a garage in Harlem until 1929, when they moved to Rudyard. Sanvik was a homemaker and mother. The couple retired in 1973. They spent the next nine summers at their home in the Bigfork area. Her husband died in 1994. Sanvik was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the church women's group, WELCA. She had been a member of Rudyard Garden Club, Home Demonstration Club and Birthday Club. In later years she became active at the Rudyard Senior Citizen's Center where she enjoyed social event and playing cards. She also enjoyed collecting spoons and watching television. Before her sight failed, she had enjoyed crocheting, knitting and reading. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Strissel of Rudyard and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
