Description	:	Margaret (Tracy) McLean died peacefully on Sunday of natural causes at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Sandy McLean in Missoula. She was a lifelong resident of Anaconda, where she was active in many organizations. Margaret was born Nov. 21, 1912, in Anaconda. She was the third of eight children born to Tim and Ellen (Mulkerin) Tracy, both of whom came over from Ireland. She married Charles "Bub" McLean on June 5, 1933. They were married 59 years when he died in 1992. She had five sons, Charles, Tim, Tracy, Tim Tracy and Ed. She was a lifelong resident of Anaconda, where she was active in many organizations. Margaret was born Nov. 21, 1912, in Anaconda. She was the third of eight children born to Tim and Ellen (Mulkerin) Tracy, both of whom came over from Ireland. She married Charles "Bub" McLean on June 5, 1933. They were married 59 years when he died in 1992. She had five sons, Charles, Tim, Tracy, Tim Tracy and Ed. Margaret loved square dancing, her summer home at Georgetown Lake, and large family gatherings. She was proud of her Irish heritage and took great pride in her family. She had a keen sense of humor but could not get a joke straight to save her soul. Consequently, she would start one and when she messed it up so badly that one could not possibly tell where it was going she would say: "Bub, you finish it." In recent years, because of failing health, she was not able to live in the family home in Anaconda. Consequently, she moved to New Horizons Assisted Living Facility. When she became so debilitated that they could no longer care for her she moved to the Anaconda Nursing Home. She subsequently moved to Missoula with her son and daughter-in-law so she could be near family. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Charles "Chuck," his wife, Bonnie; grandson, Charles "Little Mac"; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Tracy, Henry "Hoot" and Aggie Tracy, Tim Tracy, and Bob and Betty Tracy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay and Earl Eccleston, Mary Alice and Mike Sullivan and Isabel and Tom McCarthy; brothers-in-law and wives, Buster McLean, Rod and Rose McLean, Jim and Norma McLean; sisters-in-law and husbands, Fran and Fred Taylor, Harriet and Red Moore, Gail and Aubrey Jackson; husbands of sisters-in-law, Parley Browning and Chewy Massey. She is survived by sons and their wives, retired Maj. Gen. Tim (Arlene), Tracy (Michaeleen), Judge Ed (Sandy), and Tim Tracy (Marilyn); 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and wife, Bob and Imogene McLean; numerous nieces and nephews; special nieces, Marilyn Micholetti and Ellen McKeon; sisters-in-law, Jean Browning, Virginia Massey and Kathleen Kieser. She has gone to rest in the peace of Christ with her lifelong companion and best friend "Bub." Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Longfellow Finnegan Funeral Home. The Daughters of Isabella will recite the rosary at 6 p.m. The parish vigil will be at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you "hug a loved one" and thank your local hospice for the love and understanding they bring to families caring for the elderly and terminally ill.
