Read More	Margaret Marie Weiper Parker, 76, passed away April 15, 2006, in Cary, N.C. She was born May 11, 1929, in Lake County to the late Theodore and Dorothy Traverso Weiper. Margaret graduated as Valedictorian of Lower Lake High School's Class of 1948. As a young woman, Margaret worked as a waitress and hotel maid at Seigler Springs Resort, a time of her life which she always remembered fondly. After graduation, she worked at Bank of America as a teller. In July 1948, she married Donald Leroy Parker of Burns Valley and had three children: son, Robert Marion, who passed away at age 4, daughters, Carol Marie and Tracy Lee. For several years, the Parkers owned and managed a service station, towing service and tire shop. Later, Margaret worked for a C.P.A. as a bookkeeper while also managing with her husband an 80-acre walnut and prune ranch and fruit dehydrating processing plant they had purchased. In 1967, the Parkers built a vacation home in South Lake Tahoe. There they spent many wonderful weekends and holidays, and entertained many friends and relatives. In 1984, Don and Margaret were divorced, and Margaret continued to live at the Parker ranch in Burns Valley for several years before moving permanently to the South Lake Tahoe home. In 1997, she moved to North Carolina due to health concerns and to be near her daughter Carol. After a long illness, the Lord came and took Margaret home as she passed away with her daughter Carol by her side at 11 p.m. on April 15, 2006. Her intense love for her daughters, family and friends and her vibrant spirit will always be remembered. We will miss her dearly. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Marie (Art) Parker Schafer of Cary, N.C. and Tracy Lee Parker of La Crosse, Wisc. She is also survived by her brothers, Theodore Weiper of Lake County and Calvin (Gwen) Weiper of Lake County. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Marion Parker, and her sister-in-law, Elsie Glimme Weiper. Interment will follow at the Lower Lake Cemetery, after which all are welcomed to return to the church hall for a luncheon and reception.
