Description	:	CLAFLIN — Margaret M. Heinz, 93, died April 15 at Country Place Senior Living, Hoisington. She was born Dec. 9, 1916, at Dodge City, to Thomas and Gertrude (Elder) Darcey. She was a 1934 graduate of Claflin High School. She married Kasper J. Heinz on Oct. 28, 1935, at Claflin. He died Jan. 13, 1987. A lifetime Claflin resident, she was a homemaker. She was also a... Read More	CLAFLIN — Margaret M. Heinz, 93, died April 15 at Country Place Senior Living, Hoisington. She was born Dec. 9, 1916, at Dodge City, to Thomas and Gertrude (Elder) Darcey. She was a 1934 graduate of Claflin High School. She married Kasper J. Heinz on Oct. 28, 1935, at Claflin. He died Jan. 13, 1987. A lifetime Claflin resident, she was a homemaker. She helped Kasper on the farm and they were voted Master Farmers of the Year. Mrs. Heinz was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Altar Society and D. of I., all of Claflin. She was also a member of Logan Township EHU, and past state president of the Kansas Homemakers Council. Margaret was an organist for 30 years, to the age of 80, at the church, and she was tour director of Heinz Tours for many years. Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Oeser and husband Alan of Claflin, and Camille Haro and husband Dr. David P., of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters-in-law, Carol (Riedl) Heinz of Shawnee and Nancy (Nation) Heinz of Winfield; grandchildren: Michael and Michelle Heinz, Tonja and Tim Zeller, Allison Layne, Michelle and Brian Ptak, Tom Heinz, Chris and Debbie Oeser, Phillip and Raylette Oeser, Jon and Jane Oeser, Davana and John Robson, and Patrick and Vinessa Haro; 18 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas L. Heinz, Michael K. Heinz; three brothers, Leo Darcey, James Darcey and John Darcey; one sister, Catherine Darcey; one stepbrother, Louis Miller; one stepsister, Anne Luebbers; and one grandson, Curtis Heinz. Vigil service followed by altar society rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Immaculate Conception Church in Claflin. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with Father Charles Mazouch, celebrant. Interment will be at Claflin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, and after 6 p.m. Sunday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Claflin, and 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
