Description	:	Margaret Mary Anderson entered this life on January 23, 1882, the daughter of Erik and Minnie Hansen at Franklin, Pa. She closed her eyes to this life on February 6, 1965, at St. Paul, reaching the age of 83 years. In 1886, at the age of 4, she moved with her parents to Nebraska. It was during this time that due to... Read More	Margaret Mary Anderson entered this life on January 23, 1882, the daughter of Erik and Minnie Hansen at Franklin, Pa. She closed her eyes to this life on February 6, 1965, at St. Paul, reaching the age of 83 years. In 1886, at the age of 4, she moved with her parents to Nebraska. She was married to Paul Anderson at St. Paul on November 22, 1900. To this union one son and three daughters were born. Margaret and her husband first settled on a farm west of Cushing, Nebr. It was during this time that due to her health, she was recommended by her doctors to find a hobby to take up her time. She turned to raising chicks as a hobby, only to find that because of demand, her hobby turned into a profitable business. And so she started the first Commercial Hatchery in the state of Nebraska. During this period of time, it was her pleasure to win many honors, both state and national, for her work. The business grew to such an extant that it was moved to St. Paul in 1922. In 1938 the couple started the Frozen Foods Locker in St. Paul. Due to failing health, Margaret had to stop her physical activity in 1955. From this time forward, it was a downhill road, and in August of 1961, she was taken to the St. Paul hospital where she remained for 3 1/2 years until her passing. She is survived by one son, Elmer Anderson of St. Paul; three daughters, Miss Alice Anderson of St. Paul, Mrs. Florence Williams of Hastings, and Mrs. Hilma Welsh of St. Paul; in addition to 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. H. L. Sonderup of St. Paul; two brothers, Edward R. Hansen of Glendale, Ariz., and Arthur Hansen of Houston Texas. Just 10 years ago, her husband died on Febr. 8, 1955. Also preceding her in death was one grandson, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She was a baptized and confirmed member of the Lutheran Church, a member of the Eastern Star, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and a charter member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
