Mr. Anderson died June 28 at St. Paul. Mrs. Dale Johnson sang "The Lord's Prayer," and "How Great Thou Art" accompanied by the organist, Mrs Burt Johnson. Elmer George Anderson was born June 3, 1904 at Cushing, the son of Paul and Margaret Mary Hansen Anderson. He was a graduate of Cushing High School and later attended the former St. Paul Business College. He also attended the Dr. Salsbury Poultry School in Iowa. In 1922 he moved to St. Paul with his parents where they operated the first commercial hatchery in Nebraska. Later he was co-owner of the frozen food locker plant in St. Paul. On June 17, 1942, he was united in marriage to Lillian L. Nelsen at St. Paul. The couple resided in St. Paul all of their married life. Elmer was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, St. Paul Lodge No. 82 A.F.&A.M., The Jordan Chapter No. 27, and the Knights Templar all of St. Paul; Lebanon Council No. 24 at Central City and the Tehama Shriners of Hastings. He served as mayor of St. Paul and was a former member of the St. Paul School Board. He was a past president of the Nebraska State Locker Association. He passed from the life on Thursday, June 28 at Howard County Hospital at the age of 75 years. Survivors include his wife, Lillian, a daughter, Jane A. Anderson of Lincoln; a son, David of St. Paul; three sisters, Alice Anderson and Mrs. Hilma Welsh both of St. Paul and Mrs. Florence W. Hemberger of Hastings and two grandchildren.
