Gustin following John Wintz’ death. No children resulted from her second marriage to Gustin. John Wintz and Margaret Mary Wintz had six children together. John Nicholas, Jr. born in 1837 in Stark County, Ohio; Margaret Anna, born September 17, 1839; Theressa Mary, born March 29, 1841; Andrew George, born February 24, 1842; Mary Louise, born February 24, 1845; Ellen Jane, born November 27, 1846 and Louise Eleanor, born April 1849. Mrs. Margaret Gustin, one of the early pioneer settlers of Cass County, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Godfrey Fickler, three miles south of this city on Saturday, April 15, 1905. Mrs. Gustin was about 80 years of age, and came to this county in the early territorial days. Her family were here when the Indians were very numerous, and the land upon which the city of Plattsmouth is built was a vast wilderness. She could relate many incidents of her early career in this county that was very interesting to her company. Mrs. Gustin was an excellent lady and her demise is mourned by all who knew her.
