Read More	Lived In Seventies Where Town of Maurice Was Later Built Akron Register-Tribune: Mrs. Margaret Foley, a pioneer resident of western Plymouth county, passed away at her home In this city Thursday evening, September 12, 1929, at the age of 84 years, 2 mouths and 27 days. She was dangerously ill last March and April with a heart affliction, but recovered sufficiently to spend the summer visiting friends and relatives. Last Thursday evening as she accompanied her son, Patrick, down town to attend the home talent play, but before entering the opera house was attacked with difficulty in breathing and her son took her back home, where she continued to sink rapidly and death ensued within half un hour, in spite of all that could ho done, for her relief. Mrs. Foley was born in County Langford. Ireland, June 1, 1845. and came to America when eighteen years of age. She was united in marriage with Michael Foley at Mahoney City Pennsylvania, in 1861. Shortly after her marriage she moved with her husband to Louisville, Kentucky, where they made their home until 1877, when they moved to Iowa and purchased the quarter section of land that the town of Maurice is now built on. In 1880 they sold this farm to the Northwestern Hallway company and bought a farm In the Broken Kettle valley, near Adaville, Plymouth county. Iowa, where she lived until her husband's death in 1906, when she came to Akron with her sons and made it her home until her death. Mrs. Foley was one of to pioneer Christian mothers whose life was given to labor and prayer, and none of to world's unfortunate were ever sent away hungry from her door. She was blessed with a keen mind and cheerful nature, which were retained up to her last hour. Preceding her in death were two sons and three daughters, Stephen, Thomas and Ellen Foley-and Rose and Bridget Hoffman. She is survived by her three sons, Michael, James and Patrick, and three daughters, Mrs. James Gale, of Beresford, S. D.. Mrs. Edward Byrnes, of Brookings. S. D., and Mrs. Wm. Welch, of Westfield, twenty-five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. James Higgins and Mrs. T. Flaherty, of West Le Mars. Funeral services were conducted In St. Patrick's Catholic church Saturday morning by Rev. Pr. J. A. Roder. Interment was In the Catholic cemetery at Le Mars, beside her husband.
