Carr, daughter of Jonathan and Margaret Carr, was born Dec. 11, 1843 in Franklin County, Ohio, and died at her home five miles south of Milton, Sunday, Jan. 27, 1924, age 80 years 1 month and 16 days. For several months she had been in failing health but only the last few days was confined to her bed. She moved with her widowed mother and her family from near Columbus, Ohio in the year of 1853 and located on a farm north of Milton now known as the Daunt Weatherington place. Carr, daughter of Jonathan and Margaret Carr, was born Dec. 11, 1843 in Franklin County, Ohio, and died at her home five miles south of Milton, Sunday, Jan. 27, 1924, age 80 years 1 month and 16 days. For several months she had been in failing health but only the last few days was confined to her bed. She moved with her widowed mother and her family from near Columbus, Ohio in the year of 1853 and located on a farm north of Milton now known as the Daunt Weatherington place. On Feb. 14, 1867 she was united in marriage to Hiram Harman who passed away May 23, 1922. To this happy union six children, four sons and two daughters were born, namely: Joseph, John, Marion, Mrs. Bessie Lunsford, Mrs. Lucy Lunsford and Thomas all of Milton who with nine grandchildren a twin sister Mrs. E. R. Briggs of Berkley, Calif. and one brother T. W. Carr of San Miquel, Calif., and other relatives are left to mourn her departure. The funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon of this week conducted by Rev. H. F. Gilbert, after which the remains were laid to rest in the South Prairie Chapel cemetery.
