Description	:	Following an illness of several months' duration, the death occurred Monday evening, May 18, 1942, of Mrs. Maggie Clark Greer, widow of the late C. M. Greer, and one of the community's best known and active women for many years. Mrs. Greer has been in failing health for some time but her condition did not occasion alarm until some weeks ago, when she became bedfast at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Marsha, and where her death occurred last night. Mrs. Greer has been in failing health for some time but her condition did not occasion alarm until some weeks ago, when she became bedfast at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Marsha, and where her death occurred last night. Funeral services for Mrs. Greer will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, from the McNary Funeral Home in charge of her pastor, the Rev, H. Ross Hume. Burial will follow at the Oak Spring cemetery. Mrs. Greer was the daughter of James and Mary Jane Dickson Clark and was born in Washington county on March 17, 1857. She was married to C. M. Greer on June 28, 1883, and is survived by three children, James Clark Greer of Zelienople; Mrs. C. L. Harsha and Mrs. D. Halsey Donaldson, Canonsburg, as well as six grandchildren. Mrs. Greer was a graduate of the Washington Seminary and of the Pittsburgh Female College and throughout her life was a consistent Presbyterian, being a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian church for many years. Her husband, Culbert M, Greer, was connected with the Pittsburgh Coal Company for many years and was an active citizen of the community until hid death in 1935.
