Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Margaret Wilma Caroline (Bessman) Meyer was born on Thursday; April 19, 1917 near Buckeye; Hardin County, Iowa. She was the oldest daughter of: William and Anna (Willig) Bessman. Margaret grew up in that area where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Ervin John Ernest Meyer on Thursday; December 12, 1940, in Alden; Hardin County, Iowa. The couple made their home on the family farm seven miles north of Latimer, where Ervin and Margaret farmed and raised their family. In preparation for retiring from farming, Margaret and Ervin moved into Latimer in 1983. Margaret entered the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton in 2005. Margaret is warmly remembered for her love of crochet, needle-work, embroidery, crafts and ceramics. Her family remembers Margaret for cooking and baking, especially the sweets. Margaret enjoyed gardening, both flowers, vegetables and then canning the crop. Margaret shared love and friendship by playing games, cards and dominos with family and friends. Margaret was an active member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer, Iowa where she served faithfully in women's fellowship. She was an active participant of CAL Over 60s Club in Latimer. Margaret Wilma Caroline (Bessman) Meyer, age: 93, passed away on Tuesday; June 22, 2010 at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton in Hampton; Franklin County, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her husband of nearly 70 years: Ervin; her children: Lawrence (Janet) of Alexander; Franklin County, Iowa and Marianne Armento of Springfield; Sangamon County, Illinois. Her four grandchildren: Tamara Mennenga, Rhonda Meyer, Susan (Peter) Grett and Courtney Armento-Irvin. Her seven great-grandchildren: Ray, A.J., Cole, Brandon, Taylor, Kellsi and Tristan. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law: Paul Armento III; her brother: Harry Bessman and her sister: Ida Bock. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday; June 25, 2010 at the church. Funeral services will begin at: 1:30 p.m. on Saturday; June 26, 2010 at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Larimer, Iowa with Pastor Arthur Zewert officiating. Interment will be at the Marion Center Cemetery in Latimer, Iowa.
