Gilmour, died today at the home of her son-in-law, J. A. McLachlin, 380 Cooper street. Mrs. Gilmour was in her 92nd year and made many friends in Ottawa since coming here 20 years ago. Her death also will be deeply mourned in the Almonte district. The former Margaret Wylie Templeton, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Templeton, pioneer residents of the Almonte District and was born in the ninth line, Ramsay, near Almonte. She resided in that district until coming to Ottawa. Her husband predeceased her 15 years ago and she also was predeceased by two sons. J. Lorne (Larry) Gilmour, a former widely known hockey star, and James Allan Gilmour of Kingston. Possessed with a charming personality, Mrs. Gilmour was beloved by all with whom she came in contact and was a prominent member of Chalmers United Church. She had been an invalid for three years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. A. McLachlin, well known philanthropic worker of Ottawa, and Mrs. John W. Lockhart, of Aylmer road, along with three grandchildren, George Allan Gilmour and Miss Jean Gilmour, of Kingston, and Robert Allan Gilmour, of Calgary. The funeral will be held from Mr. McLachlin's residence, 380 Cooper street, on Thursday. Service will be conducted at the home by Rev. W. R. Alp at one o'clock, and the motor cortege will proceed to Almonte, where interment will be made in Auld Kirk cemetery.
