Description	:	Mrs. Marg. Fette, nee Rauklo alias Kemper, was born Jan. 28, 1842, in Enksen, Westphalia, Germany. Her God fearing parents had the child baptized in April 1842. Reared in a Christian home she renewed with all her heart her baptismal covenant on the day of her confirmation on Ascension Day of 1856. Read More	Mrs. Marg. Fette, nee Rauklo alias Kemper, was born Jan. 28, 1842, in Enksen, Westphalia, Germany. Her God fearing parents had the child baptized in April 1842. Reared in a Christian home she renewed with all her heart her baptismal covenant on the day of her confirmation on Ascension Day of 1856. In September 1868 she was united in marriage to Mr. George Fette. This union was blessed with four children, three sons and one daughter, of whom their son George preceded even the widowed mother in death at the age of almost 27 years. Her matrimonial happiness lasted only 13 years. Her husband passed away in 1881, the eldest of the four children being only 11 years old. Thus the deceased had to bear the yoke of sorrow and trials in her youth. But trusting in the Lord, this, her yoke remained nevertheless an easy one, for by faith the heaviest burden is made light. Her brothers, Mr. Henry and Mr. William Kemper had previously emigrated to America and induced the departed to sell her property in Germany in order to buy a farm in America and they bought a farm near Dorchester. Nebraska which was paid for with the money received from the property sale in the old country. They settled there in 1884. Her son, Wilhelm, then about 14 years old, became, under the leadership of his uncle, the manager of the farm. The beginning was difficult, but in the course of time God blessed the family richly. How pleasant if someone prepares the place for others in a strange country, so that one feels almost at home after one's arrival. Should we not rejoice that the Savior has prepared the place for all who believe in Him in the heavenly home? In 1886 the family settled at the West Blue where the departed spent the rest of her life. She was a faithful member of the Evangelical Friedens congregation, and an example of faith for many. Last week the frailities of old age reached their climax. Pneumonia set in and became the cause of her death. On the 27th of February 1923 she was allowed to enter into the joy of the Lord with a well prepared heart and mind. Her age was 81 years and 1 month. Those of the nearest relatives who mourn at her grave are: Mr. Wilhelm Fette and family, Mr. Diedrich Fette and family, one daughter, Mrs. Lena Meyer of Munden, Kansas, one sister, in Germany; also 12 grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Two brothers, Henry and William, preceded her in death. Services were held in the home and at the Friedens church Tuesday afternoon, beginning at 2 o'clock. Rev. G. H. Krueger officiated.
