Description	:	Miss Margarette (Maggie) Elizabeth Keyser passed at the home of John S. Zirkle, on January 4th, 1933, after a week or ten days illness with grip and pneumonia. She was born near Rileyville, this county and was the daughter of the late E. A. and Martha C. Keyser and belonged to one of the oldest and best known families of the county. She belonged to the Baptist church for many years and took an active part in church work in her younger days and was a highly respected lady, always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. She made... Read More	Miss Margarette (Maggie) Elizabeth Keyser passed at the home of John S. Zirkle, on January 4th, 1933, after a week or ten days illness with grip and pneumonia. She was born near Rileyville, this county and was the daughter of the late E. A. and Martha C. Keyser and belonged to one of the oldest and best known families of the county. She belonged to the Baptist church for many years and took an active part in church work in her younger days and was a highly respected lady, always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. She made her home with her brothers and sisters after her father broke up housekeeping. First with her brother, Ashby and then going to Front Royal and keeping house for her brother, Willie after his wife died. After he broke up housekeeping, she came to the home of her sister, Mrs. Geo. W. Mauck, now Mrs. Frank Flinn and later went to assist her brother, Ashby for awhile, then returning to Luray and lived with Mrs. John Zirkle and family until her death. She was devoted to the Zirkle Children and they were devoted to her and she will be missed in their home. She also spent much time with her brother, Benton at Front Royal before returing to Luray to live. Three of her nieces from a distance attended the funeral and burial. They were Mrs. H. P. Rinker and Mrs. Orville Clouser, of Washington, D. C. and Mrs. Frank Beaver and two sons of Winchester; three nephews, C. B. Mauck of Winchester and C. B. Mauck, of Warren county, Hallie Keyser, of Front Royal; her brothers, Ashby and Benton Keyser, of Front Royal while a number of relatives and friends were prevented from attending on account of Illness. Her brother, J. W. Keyser of Front Royal died April 1930; Mrs. S. F. Mauck (Almira) of Winchester, died in August 1930; Mrs. A. A. Printz (Sudie) of near Rileyville, died, Oct, 1907. Her remaining brothers and sisters are Ashby and Benton Keyser, of Front Royal, Mrs. Frank Flinn and Mrs. John S. Zirkle of near Luray. Miss Keyser had many friends in Page and Warren who regret to hear of her death. She will be buried in the Keyser Graveyard at Oak Hill. Tombstone not found.
