Description	:	Marge (Swantek) Ritterbush, 72, of Genoa, was called to her heavenly home Friday, March 6, 2015. A Celebration of Marge’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Genoa. Visitation at the church will begin one hour before the service. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery. Marge was born Sept. 26, 1942, to Frank and Mary (Ksiazek) Swantek in Genoa. She grew up on a farm near Genoa and graduated from Genoa High School in 1960. On June 8, 1961, she married Don Ritterbush in Iowa. They lived in Belgrade while raising their three sons. During that time she worked in Grand Island at the ordinance plant and Lindsay Manufacturing in Lindsay. Marge and Don moved to Hemingford in 1987. While in Hemingford Marge worked many jobs including at a ceramics shop, house cleaning and as a CNA. Marge returned to Genoa after losing Don in 1996. She was a caregiver for her father. In her later years she lived at Genoa Longterm Care, where she passed away. Marge loved to do crossword puzzles and work on bulletin boards. She had a talent of sewing and also embroidering. She made many items for family and friends that they treasured. Marge also enjoyed ceramics, gardening and growing flowers. She is survived by her sons, Jay (Susie) Ritterbush of Cedar Rapids, Todd (Lynette) Ritterbush of Livingston, Montana and Terry (Eddie) Ritterbush of Fayetteville, West Virginia; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Kathy Merrill of Hemingford, Chris Swantek of Montrose, Colorado, Mike (Jane) Swantek of Maysville, Colorado, Julie (Steve) Plasek of David City and Jean (Bill) Dubas of Palmer. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Swantek; husband, Donald Ritterbush; and brother-in-law, Max Merrill. Memorials are suggested “in care of the family.” Rice Funeral Home in Genoa is in charge of arrangements.
