Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Wood River, with the Rev. Phil Sloat officiating. Inurnment will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Highland Cemetery at Adams. Mrs. Hibbert was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Adams, the daughter of Clarence and Esther (Fritz) Rapp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and a son, Roger. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Bev Voss (Cary) of Wood River, David Hibbert of Omaha, Deb Layne of Bellevue and Sandy Walker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Jean Rapp and Ruth Hibbert of Adams; grandchildren, Dawn (Todd), Jeff (Tina), Matt (Tammi), Nicole, Mason and Jen (Chris); and great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Daylon, Mason, Joey and Emma. Margery graduated from Adams High School and attended Normal training. She was united in marriage to Jack Hibbert on Feb. 7, 1947, at Hopewell United Methodist Church of rural Sterling. The couple made their home on a farm in rural Johnson County and later became the owner/operators of the Filley Locker from 1967 to 1990. While in Filly she was a member of the United Methodist Church and held many offices within the church. In 2001, she moved to Wood River, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wood River. Margery enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to sew, cook, quilt and spend time with her feline companion, Frosty. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Rapp; sisters, Clairce Hesser and Marilyn Rapp; brothers-in-law, Melvin Hesser and Dean Hibbert; son-in-law, Gary Walker; and niece, Kristi Rapp.
