She attended high school at South Kitsap High. Margie married Marvin Toney Brooks on February 19, 1943 in Seattle. Early in the war, Margie spent a short time working in the shipyard for the personnel department. She spent most of her life as a stay-at-home wife and mother to her three children, Russell Tony, Sue Anne, and Marvin Wayne Brooks. She loved camping, playing cards, reading, collecting dolls... She spent most of her life as a stay-at-home wife and mother to her three children, Russell Tony, Sue Anne, and Marvin Wayne Brooks. She loved camping, playing cards, reading, collecting dolls from around the world , and most of all cooking. Over the course of their almost 70 years together, Margie and Marvin lived in Japan, Guam, Oregon, California, and settled back in Washington to retire. Margie is survived by her husband, Marvin Toney, her brothers Robert and Floyd Tuckness, her three kids, Tony, Sue, and Wayne, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Margie passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 2nd, 2012. She will always be deeply loved and missed by her family. No service will be held as per her request.
