Description	:	Margie L. (Ford) Marker left this life on August 12, 2018, at home, with her loving family beside her. She was born on February 20, 1930, in Garfield, AR, to Vernon and Mignon (Robbins) Ford; the second of six children. She spent her early years attending schools in Garfield and Avoca, AR, but at 19, she moved to Washington State with her aunt and uncle, where she found a job working at Cedargreen Foods. (Ford) Marker left this life on August 12, 2018, at home, with her loving family beside her. She was born on February 20, 1930, in Garfield, AR, to Vernon and Mignon (Robbins) Ford; the second of six children. She spent her early years attending schools in Garfield and Avoca, AR, but at 19, she moved to Washington State with her aunt and uncle, where she found a job working at Cedargreen Foods. While attending a dance, she met John G. Marker, and on January 28, 1951, they were married. Together, they raised their children on the family orchard in East Wenatchee, WA. In those early years and throughout her life, mom kept the home fires burning. She was a devoted mom and homemaker, and not once did we come home from school that she wasn’t there. Later, when her grandchildren came along, she was always available to babysit, provide daycare, or pick them up after school, spending many wonderful hours with them. Whether it was cherries, cots, or peaches, she worked alongside dad with harvest, and canned a portion of it to see us through the winter. In 1959-60, her cousin, Clint, came out and stayed with us, cementing a special, lifelong closeness. She lived a life of service to others, picking up friends or relatives, both young and old, and taking them to appointments or wherever else they might need or want to go. She was the ultimate caregiver, a rare gift. She had a quiet spirit so she especially treasured her family and her group of loyal, dedicated friends. Though her ways were quiet, she had a big impact on our lives and blessed us all; we will miss her every day. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John; daughter, Deborah; son-in-law, Larry Lippert; her parents; and brothers: Billy, John, Kenneth, and Bobby Ford. Surviving her are her children: Mike (Rise’) Marker of East Wenatchee, WA, Jerry (Beth) Marker of Lake Tapps, WA, Kathy Lippert of Peshastin, WA, and Patti (Don) Moser of East Wenatchee, WA; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Mary Ruth (J.R.) Orrick of Rogers, AR; A. Clint (Lorene) Ford of Phoenix, AZ; and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews. There will be a Graveside Service at Evergreen Memorial Park, 1301 NE 10th St., East Wenatchee, WA, on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Central Washington Hospital Hospice or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Chapel of the Valley, Wenatchee, WA.
