Description	:	Margie Hodik passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at The Villa Assisted Living where she has lived for the past 3 years. Margie was born in Hobson, Montana, October 12, 1922 to Arthur and Elva (Conquergood) McCullough. Margie lived most of her life on Harwood Bench, west of Danvers, Montana. When Margie was 15, her mother passed away and Margie raised her 5 brothers. Margie graduated from Hobson High School. She was involved with basketball and coached a girls’ basketball team. Margie was born in Hobson, Montana, October 12, 1922 to Arthur and Elva (Conquergood) McCullough. Margie lived most of her life on Harwood Bench, west of Danvers, Montana. When Margie was 15, her mother passed away and Margie raised her 5 brothers. Margie graduated from Hobson High School. She was involved with basketball and coached a girls’ basketball team. Margie married James Hodik, July 28, 1946 They raised 3 sons in a farming community on the Bench. Margie was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, great-aunt and neighbor to many wonderful people. She was active in the Danvers Homemakers Women’s’ Club for many years. Margie is survived by her son, Ed Hodik of Kolin; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Hodik, of Helena; two sisters-in-law; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews; and over the past several years, special and dear friend, Theresa LaFranier. She is preceded in death by her husband, James; sons, James Dale Hodik and Dennis Hodik; daughter-in-law, Paula Hodik; granddaughter, Kerri Hodik; grandson, Mark Hodik; five brothers; and two sisters Memorial donations may be made to the DAV Lewistown, 715 Huron St., Lewistown, MT 59457 Viewing will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Creel Funeral Home Chapel from 1-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo’s Catholic Church on Saturday, May 17th at 10:00 a.m Rite of Committal will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
