She was the daughter of John and Hannah Cordes, Weers. Margret graduated from the Anamosa High School in 1944. She married Louis Siebels on December 20, 1945 at the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. Margret Ann Weers was born June 22, 1927 at Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Hannah Cordes, Weers. Margret graduated from the Anamosa High School in 1944. She married Louis Siebels on December 20, 1945 at the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in the Anamosa area. Margret worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone, the Anamosa Public Library where she was part of the reading program for children, and the Anamosa Care Center. Margret was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Antioch Circle and a 4 H Leader for the Jackson Wise Owls. Margret loved to read, she wrote poetry, painted, did crafts, calligraphy and was an accomplished seamstress. She was an avid card player, especially Euchre, any time any where. Surviving are four children, Mark (Carol) Sheridan, IL., Steve (Diana) Gainesville, Missouri, Janiece (Mike) Ford, Hiawatha, Gordon (Ann), Anamosa, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a sister, Gloria (Tom) Byrne, and a brother, Lorance (Nancy) Weers, both of Anamosa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louis in 1987 a son Larry in 1982, 2 sisters, Jeanette Shields and Lorna Templeton and a brother, Vernon Weers. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Anamosa with interment in the Wayne Zion Cemetery, Monticello. Friends may call from 10 until Noon at the church. Rev. Katie Lowe Lancaster will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa has been entrusted with the services.
