The following obituary was read at the services: Mrs. Margrete Frederiksen was born April 1, 1875, in Aalburg, Denmark, the daughter of Andrew and Johanna Andersen. Her early years were spent in her native land. Here, in infancy, she received the sacrament of baptism. In her youth, she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church. In 1897 she was united in marriage with Chris Frederiksen. In 1907 she came with her family and her parents to America, settling near Abdal, Nuckolls County, Nebraska. In 1932, the family moved to the Hardy area, where they continued to live until the death of Mr. Frederiksen in 1948. Since that time Mrs. Frederiksen made her home in Superior. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Margrete Frederiksen departed this life Monday, Sept. 10, 1962, having attained the age of 87 years, five months, and nine days. She leaves to mourn her passing three brothers, Chris Andersen and Marinus Andersen, both of Superior, and Paul Andersen of Denver, CO; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Frerichs of Bostwick and Mrs. Inga Tadken of Firth, NE; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many friends and acquaintances.
