Frank F. and Katherine Hiebert, at Swalwell, Alberta. Mother passed away on February 20, 2000, at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Grande Prairie, Alberta, reaching the age of eighty-one years. She grew up in the Linden, Alberta, area. She gave her heart to the Lord and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite on February 15, 1932. She cherished the faith to the end. On January 2, 1938, she was united in marriage to me, Sol Isaac, at Linden, Alberta. We shared life's joys and sorrows for over sixty-two years. God blessed us with thirteen children. We lived at Linden, Alberta, twenty-two years. Later, while residing at Edberg, Alberta, we spent several years at Enderby, British Columbia, and served two and one half years in a Nigeria mission. The last three years, while living near our children, we enjoyed the blessings and fellowship of the Hythe, Alberta congregation. Mother always set forth a good example of living the right, teaching us that the most important things of life are eternal and how we ought to forgive. Those left to cherish fond memories are her husband, Sol; the children: Laura and Herb Hofer, Fort Calhoun, Nebraska; Irvin and Grace, and Don and Beulah, New Norway, Alberta; Florence and Robert Goossen, Kelwood, Manitoba; Fred and Iris, Armstrong, British Columbia; Rose and Arvid Forsberg, and Cecil and Joyce, Fort Vermilion, Alberta; Viola and Leroy Thiessen, Wanham, Alberta; Shirley and Henry Friesen, Fort Vermilion, Alberta; Gilbert and Agnes, Millbank, Ontario; Edgar and Wendy, Aylesford, Nova Scotia; Melvin and Daphne, Valhalla Centre, Alberta; Ken and Darlene, Vanderhoof, British Columbia; sixty-nine grandchildren; eighty-six great-grandchildren; two brothers and seven sisters: Mary and John Isaac; Anna Toews; Dave and Hazel Hiebert; Eva Friesen; John Friesen; Helen and Crist Unruh; Dinah and Willie Friesen; Agnes and Elmer Wiebe; Min. Ben and Lillian Hiebert; Mildred and Claude Wiebe; Selda Schneider; and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were here parents, three brothers, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held on February 25, 2000, at the Rosedale Congregation, Crooked Creek, Alberta. Ministers Dennis Toews and Ben Hiebert officiated. Burial was in the Rosedale Cemetery, Crooked Creek, Alberta, with Min. Ed Boese in charge.
