Description	:	Mrs. Catherine Toews Hiebert was born to Jacob B. and Margaret Toews at Kleefeld, Manitoba, on July 19, 1895. She passed away on October 26, 1988, at the Linden Nursing Home, Linden, Alberta, at the age of ninety-three. At the age of fourteen she gave her heart to God and was baptized by Min. Tobias Unruh, becoming a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. She remained faithful to her vows to the end. She was married to Frank Hiebert in December, 1917. They shared life's joys and sorrows for sixty-two years. She faithfully supported her... Read More	Mrs. Catherine Toews Hiebert was born to Jacob B. and Margaret Toews at Kleefeld, Manitoba, on July 19, 1895. She passed away on October 26, 1988, at the Linden Nursing Home, Linden, Alberta, at the age of ninety-three. At the age of fourteen she gave her heart to God and was baptized by Min. Tobias Unruh, becoming a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. She remained faithful to her vows to the end. She was married to Frank Hiebert in December, 1917. They shared life's joys and sorrows for sixty-two years. She faithfully supported her husband in the gospel ministry. She accepted the responsibility of looking after the family and farm when she was alone with the children. She and her husband spent a little over five years together in the Linden Nursing Home. After he passed away she went to live with her children. This she enjoyed for four years, enjoying life even though she was very lonely. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four brothers, and four sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Margaret and Sol Isaac, Edberg, Alberta; Mary and John Isaac, Fort Vermilion, Alberta; Anna and Albert Toews, Swalwell, Alberta; David and Hazel, Fort Vermilion, Alberta; Eva and John Friesen, Edberg, Alberta; Helen and Crist Unruh, Acme, Alberta; Dinah and Wille Friesen, Edberg, Alberta; Agnes and Elmer Wiebe, Linden, Alberta; Ben and Lillian, Swanson, Saskatchewan; Mildred and Claude Wiebe, Linden, Alberta; Selda Schneider, Empress, Alberta; and Harold Schneider, Black Diamond, Alberta; 70 grandchildren, 148 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Helen, Mrs. Abe Regehr, and Susie, Mrs. Henry Reimer, and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on October 31, 1988, at the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Linden, Alberta. The local ministers were in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery.
