Description	:	Marguerite Cecilia Cauffield (nee Bilger) went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 1st, 2021. Mickey, as she was known to all who loved her, was born in Geneva, Ohio on February 5, 1917 to the late Frank and Bessie Bilger. Mickey married the late Paul Cauffield on November 4, 1939. Mickey, as she was known to all who loved her, was born in Geneva, Ohio on February 5, 1917 to the late Frank and Bessie Bilger. Mickey married the late Paul Cauffield on November 4, 1939. During World War II Mickey worked at Chase, Brass, & Copper Company in Painesville. Employed as a housekeeper, Mickey later ironed clothes for most of Geneva until she turned 92. Mickey was the oldest member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles in Geneva. As a young woman, Mickey enjoyed dancing and won a medal for doing the Charleston. When she was older, she loved bowling, riding on the back of motorcycles, and roller skating (until someone took her roller skates away!) More than anything, Mickey loved visiting with people. An avid Indians fan, Mickey never missed a game. She was also a fan of Ohio State, the Browns, and the Cavs. A member of Christ Episcopal Church for 70 years, Mickey served on the altar guild for most of those years, and later when she was homebound served on the prayer chain. She was also employed as a sexton for the church. Mickey dearly loved her Christ Church and prayed for them always. Mickey is survived by her two daughters, Paula S. and Carol L. Cauffield and her Welsh corgi, Mason. She is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, and her adopted granddaughter and dear friend, Robin. Mickey is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Leota Meyers, brothers John and Archie Bilger, and her nephew, Alan Meyers. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 5, 2021; public calling hours will be held from 10:30-11:30 at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway Geneva; due to COVID restrictions at the church private family services will be held at noon. A public graveside burial will follow at 1:00 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Christ Episcopal Church or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
